Who Can Be a Director of the Company?

Most people, but there are a few restrictions.

First, you must appoint at least one director.

Next, as per Section 124 of the Business Corporations Act, British Columbia, a director must:

  1. be 18 years of age or older;
  2. not found by any court withing Canada or elsewhere to be incapable of mananging one's own affairs;
  3. an undischarged bankrupt;
  4. not have been convicted of various offences (click here to see the various disqualifying offences).

You do not have to be resident in British Columbia to be a director.
